Meet Rebecca

Helping her clients rejuvenate is at the heart of Rebecca’s work. Having worked in high-stress jobs, she understands the importance of self-care, rest and taking time out both mentally and physically.

Rebecca has a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy from the Australian College of Massage, and has completed online training in aromatherapy with the Aromahead Institute. She specialises in relaxation massage (also known as Swedish massage), and incorporates beneficial essential oils to complement your treatment.

Why is it called
The Garden Studio?

The Garden Studio first opened in a purpose-built studio nestled in a lush garden in Sydney’s south. The name seemed fitting as clients ventured through the raphis palms to find a tranquil oasis.

After a move to Tasmania, Rebecca re-established her studio at Grindelwald, 20 minutes north of Launceston. Although it’s a very different garden, clients still enter through a beautiful green space, filled with bird life and the occasional friendly pademelon.

What oils do you use?

The base oil used is a blend containing sunflower, macadamia, and apricot kernel oils and an emulsifier to make it easy to wash off.

Rebecca adds pure essential oils to the base oil to enhance your treatment. Frequently used blends include lavender, chamomile, bergamot and mandarin, which all promote relaxation and stress relief.

If you would prefer a particular essential oil or no essential oils to be used, have a chat to Rebecca when you arrive for your massage.

What about COVID-19?

After every client, Rebecca thoroughly sanitises the massage table and surfaces in the studio.

If you are showing any cold and flu symptoms please reschedule your appointment.
